Try Yukon Solitaire at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Identify the playing area and the controls you need. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.

Practice beyond the first move

Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round. Make the next step deliberately.

The objective of a round

Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Keep the controls in easy reach.

A walkthrough of the rules

  1. Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

The controls to know

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Use the control method described here for this activity. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.

Work through an example

A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Read the matching step again.

Check this before moving on

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules.
